Arising from the just concluded joint NLC,TUC NEC session and in considering the intervention of the Fed Govt through the National Security Adviser at a meeting held today to address all issues raised by Labour including the brutalisation of the N L C President, Joe Ajaero the Joint NEC in session has decided to suspend the strike action as a mark of respect to the Security Adviser with effect from 12 midnight today.
Members are to resume work tomorrow 16th of November 2023.
The leadership of the both NLC and TUC will release a formal letter suspending the strike action later.
They are appreciated all affiliate unions for been stedfast during the strike action.
