APC THUGS ON RAMPAGE, DESTROY PDP BILLBOARDS

Some thugs of All Progressive Congress (APC) were on rampage destroying the campaign billboards of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) candidate, His Excellency Agboola Ajayi in Akure South Local Government. The PDP billboard erected at Isolo junction, another one at Oja-oba and others were destroyed in this process.
The tempo of attacks by APC hoodlums have increased in recent time particularly within the state capital. About two weeks ago, some APC sponsored agents went to disrupt the meeting of Odopetu ward 7 which took place at Oke-Arata in Akure. They came in about ten motorcycles with cutlasses, dane gun and bottles. In a daylight , they broke bottles and got some PDP members injured claiming that they would not allow the PDP meeting to hold. They openly confessed their membership of APC in a video footage that went viral. Even the Presence of Policemen did not stop their madness.
In a similar attack anda intimidation, another APC Street urchin popularly called “Aperi”forcefully stopped the mini-ward meeting of PDP Ilotin in Ilisa Ward 5 around the same time. A week thereafter, he and others kidnapped the PDP Secretary of the same mini-ward, tied him down and beat him into coma. It took the intervention of some PDP members and Akure South Youth Leader, Comrade Adekanbi Oluwatuyi to resolve the matter.
As the APC shall be having their Gubernatorial campaign in Akure tomorrow and on going, this thuggery approach to electioneering campaign must stop.
This is to call the attention of our various security agencies to call the ruling party to order. If this reckless behaviour is not nipped in the bud, the acts of violence before, during and after the Governorship Election might mar and vitiate the outcome of the November 16 Governorship Election.
