CIRCULAR TO ALL STUDENTS:
_INDECENT DRESSING AND RECKLESS DRIVING ON CAMPUS –
A REMINDER
The University Management reviewed the level of compliance on the above subject matter.
The Management observed with grave concern that the level of compliance on the issue of indecent dressing among some students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko is not yet impressive. For clarity purposes, indecent dressing includes, but not limited, to the following:
For female students: wearing of skimpy skirts and blouses, Cinderella dress, long braid touching the buttocks, leaving the cleavages open; for male students: wearing of braids or dreadlocks, earrings, nose rings, tattered jeans, sagging, etc.
The Management frowns seriously at this for the umpteenth time and has decided that the consequences of indecent dressing should be re-emphasized as the regulations of the University on dress code are still in force. All students are therefore advised to strictly adhere to the dress code of the University. All students should always display their identity cards when on campus. Henceforth, any student found to appear in indecent dress will face appropriate disciplinary measures.
Management has also observed that some of our students drive recklessly on campus roads; this must stop forthwith. Students should follow the standard traffic regulations on driving. The speed limit on campus is 20 km per hour. This measure is to ensure safety of lives. Any student who breaks any of the traffic rules will be sanctioned as appropriate.
Please be guided.
Thank you.
