AKURE SOUTH PDP TO INAUGURATE 500-MEMBER CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE; APPOINTS EX- COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, OLUJUYIGBE AS DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF CAMPAIGN

The Akure South Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to inaugurate a 500-member campaign committee on Friday, 30th August, 2024, to mobilise support and votes for the party and its candidate ahead of the November,2024 governorship election in the state.
The campaign committee, comprises of notable and dedicated party members who have previously served the PDP in various capacities, was carefully selected by the party leaders and stakeholders. The committee will be chaired by Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru, former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, while Dr. Tayo Olujuyigbe, ex- council Chairman and former commissioner at Ondo State Local Government Service Commission will serve as Director-General of the Campaign.Prince (Hon.) Ademola Babalola, former Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly will be Deputy Director General.
The committee consists of a main body known as the “Campaign Council,” comprising fourteen (14) notable persons. This council will be supported by twenty-two (22) sub-committees, each headed by a chairman.
The committee has been entrusted with the significant responsibility of projecting, convincing, and mobilising the electorates to vote for the party’s candidates in the November, 2024 governorship elections. The party urges all nominees to be proactive and demonstrate a strong commitment to every activity of the their various committee’s.
It is crucial to note that winning the forthcoming election will require considerable strength, sacrifice, teamwork, and collective effort to rescue our state from the hopelessness, hardship, and insecurity that have inflicted by APC led government since they assume power in Ondo State.
Furthermore, the party expresses unwavering confidence in the quality of the committee members and their ability to deliver Akure and its environs for Hon. Agboola Ajayi and his deputy, Hon. Festus Akingbaso.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, 30th August, 2024, at the Ijapo residence of His Excellency, Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru, by 1:00 pm. All members of the Campaign Council, committees’ heads and members, party leaders, critical stakeholders, and the general public are hereby notified and invited to attend.
