Governor Bala Abdulkadri Mohammed of Bauchi State commissioned the distributed 30-unit Toyota Hiace buses today in Bauchi State.
The Governor said the gesture is a key part of his administration strategy to ease the impact of fuel subsidy removal on the esteemed citizens, particularly the hardworking students.
Senator Mohammed reiterated that the goal with these buses is not just to improve mobility but to foster economic growth, open up Bauchi State for more business opportunities, and create jobs. And that this is just one way the government is committed to tackling poverty head-on and ensuring our people have reliable, affordable transport.
He said plans are already underway to supplement the transport infrastructure with additional Keke-Napep and motorcycles for Achaba, and constructing additional smoother roads for easy movement.
Governor Mohammed showed his heartfelt appreciation to Yankari Transportation Services, he said he is counting on their professionalism to maintain the vehicles and ensure their optimal use for the good of our people.
He said his administration will always prioritize the sustainability and advancement of transport sector.
He used the avenue to immensely thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s initiatives that strengthen the relationship between Federal and state governments for the betterment of Nigeria.
He charged the good people of the State to continue their unwavering support and prayers for the government and they shall continue to overcome challenges with their unalloyed support to his administration.
He implored them to continue with him on this journey together to create a prosperous, and greater Bauchi State.
