Kidnapped Ekiti APC Chairman, Two Others regain Freedom, as Police Apprehend three Suspects

The Kidnapped Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti State, Mr. Paul Omotoso alongside two others have regained their freedom.
They have also been reunited with their families.

The APC Chairman, Mr. Paul Omotoso, a retired School Principal, Mr Simon Faboyede from Erinjinyan Ekiti and a former Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ayodele Ajimati were kidnapped last Saturday along Agbado— Imesi Ekiti road in Ayekire Local Government Area of the state.

The Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Police Command, Mr Sunday Abutu confirmed this in a statement in Ado Ekiti.

The Police spokesperson explained that the breakthrough was achieved through the combined efforts of the Police, sisters agencies, local security outfits and the family members as well as the Ekiti State government.

Mr Abutu announced that that three suspects were arrested in connection with the incident and they are currently providing useful information that could lead to the arrest of the prime suspects, currently at large.

He implored residents of Ekiti state to be security conscious, vigilant and ensure prompt reportage of any suspicious person or group of persons noticed in their areas to the nearest Police Station.
