Just In: ODIEC announces new date for Local Government elections

The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission has announced that the Local Government elections in the state will take place on January 18, 2025.
Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Joseph Aremo, gave the confirmation during a meeting with members of all political parties, the state’s 18 electoral officers, and security personnel at the Commission’s office in Akure, the state capital.
Dr. Aremo emphasized that the initial electoral process has not been canceled, adding that the Commission will continue with the existing procedures.
