ODSG Disburses N220m Soft Loan to Artisans’ Groups and MSMEs

In a bid to boost small-scale businesses and improve the economy, the Ondo State Government on Tuesday, 24 September 2024, commenced the disbursement of N220 million to artisans and small business owners across the state.

The Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, who represented the governor, presented cheques to the beneficiaries during the ceremony held at The Dome.

This loan scheme is part of the strategies implemented by the Aiyedatiwa administration to tackle poverty, reduce unemployment, and combat youth restiveness.

The event was attended by the Chief of Staff to the governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Chairman of the State Micro Credit Agency, Adenike Ademujimi; the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Industries, and Cooperative Services, Toyin Oni; and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Artisan Matters, Daisi Komolafe.
